I was searching on the forum and noticed there were references to the "Killer Postcard" strategy, but I can't seem to find a link.
Is there a link available for this?
I've got an idea to use postcards as a way of getting in front of the CEO of a major car dealership. Their website isn't very good, their SEO isn't very good, and I'm confident I can do a heck of a lot better because I can focus enterly on their project.
My idea is:
1. Every day or week, send a postcard with a cryptic message (ie: "Its coming", "It's nearly here", "The keys to the kindgom" or "3" "2" "1")
2. The last one is the actual white paper/report/proposal. Because I know people are busy I'm thinking of doing a video screencast summary of the report too.
I'm wanting to use Postcards as a way of contacting the CEO, a sort of laser-focused marketing idea to generate buzz and get in front of the guy and obviousily make a sale.
But my question is; wouldn't the person who opens the mail simply discard the postcard? Should you be putting it in an envelope?
Anyway, thanks. Please provide a link to the killer postcard strategy.
Thanks.
