Okay, I'm not going to get all mushy and
gooey with you...so relax. But this edition of my newsletter has nothing to
do with marketing.
As a hard charg'in marketer, sometimes I forget how important PEOPLE are.
In the world of electrons (i.e. the internet) you sometimes forget that
there is a live, breathing, caring person with feelings at the other end of
the email.
This is especially true the more successful you become.
More people want (and need) more of your personal time and energies...and
sometimes you simply have to build up communication barriers around you in
order get things done...
...and to be honest, sometimes I feel bad about that.
But Last Week I Had a Really Cool Experience
I attended the Send Out Cards convention in Salt Lake City. It was a lot of
fun. I got to meet a lot of great people and there was a lot of great energy
there.

It wasn't because the people were all whooping and holler'in, but it was
because of what the Send Out Cards product is doing for people's lives.
I came home with one goal from that convention.
- It wasn't to create more information products.
- It wasn't to attract more Send Out Cards users.
- It wasn't to implement more tactics or techniques.
It was none of the above. It was more important than all those things.
So I took that goal, printed it out, framed it and nailed it to the wall in
front of my desk so it's the first thing I look at every day.
Every morning, when I get to the office, before I do anything , I now make
this one little activity...a top priority.
It provides me with a wonderful start to my day.
It clears my thinking and forces me to think of others, rather than myself.
And it's hard to explain what this one small activity does to the people who
receive it.
The comments I receive back from the people who are the receivers of this
one small activity bring me so much satisfaction and joy.
A Business Building Habit...
Sending a card once a day to someone can also have a dramatic impact on your
business.

Now I do believe that everyone needs to promote themselves and set
